Finding a therapist in Rhode Island who is actually nearby, not just in state, makes a real difference when life is already full.
If you are in Providence and looking for a therapist, the waitlist at most practices is the first thing you will hit. We have availability this week.

Providence carries a particular kind of pressure. Graduate school, healthcare work, creative careers, nonprofits, young families — the city draws people who are running hard and often carrying more than they let on. If you have been thinking about therapy but have not made it happen, it is probably not because you do not want to. It is more likely because every practice you have found is full, generic, or just far enough away to make it easy to put off.

AQAL Therapies serves Providence clients through telehealth, with in-person appointments available at our Cranston office — a short drive from the East Side, Federal Hill, the West End, and Elmwood. We offer Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a practical, skill-based approach with strong research support for anxiety, burnout, chronic illness, and life transitions. It is not general talk therapy. Sessions are structured around building specific skills and taking meaningful action in the direction of what actually matters to you. Most clients are seen within the week. Schedule a free 15-minute consultation to find out if it is a good fit.
Telehealth is also available throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts for clients who prefer to meet remotely or whose schedule makes commuting difficult.
